The Association of Super Beings and Extraordinary Humans: Chapter 2

September 15, 2018 (updated October 19, 2018) Published by MorbidToast

You ever see someone that, no matter how much it goes against every basic instinct and every single thing you tell yourself, you know this person is gonna be special to you? Like they’re gonna leave one hell of a mark on your life, good or bad? That’s the feeling I got from her. “Oh hi!” She almost screamed, but it was all excitement and she wasn’t scared to let anyone see. “My names Felicity! You guys can call me Fe if you want, its nice to know I’m not alone” she smiled at us one by one but eyed me up a little. At the time I assumed she thought I was gonna be competition, but I didn’t see anything remarkable about her, save for how pretty she was. Her skin was tanned, not too dark, not too light. Her brown hair was short, and had blonde highlights. Its style was not too unlike mine but she had her fringe stuck up in a kind of horn, unlike mine which goes off to the right. Best I can do since my hair is usually a mess. Regardless, she seemed nice enough so when she sat next to me we started talking. The other guy though…
He sounded like he really, really did not wanna be here. Though I did catch his name. Johnny Yakuza. Weird but like I said, what’s really weird anymore.

About an our passed and from the looks of things, almost all the seating areas were full. “How long is this gonna take? Just make me awesome already!” Axel said, clearly very impatient. It took a further ten minutes for our instructor to find us, and when I saw who it was. Well, lets say I think my heart actually stopped.
“Hey you’re all here! Sorry for being late, there was an incident down Parkside but I got here as quick as I could”. I didn’t even have to look up to recognize who that was, but I did anyway. It was him. Tyler Brochen. My best friend since pre school and….the one who took me down. He noticed me. There was no way he didn’t but he didn’t say a word. He said hi to everyone in his usual cheerful way and took us to a small locker room. Even today I still think as advanced as this place is, why do they still have locker rooms from what 1996? I’ll never know. Anyway, he told us to get changed into our hero outfits (“I hope you remembered. You really should’ve if you wanted to be here”. I swear he was always like that) then told us to go to training ground 8 and he’d wait for us there. Seemed easy enough. The outfits for the others were pretty cool.

Axel had what I hoped at the time wasn’t stolen but of course, it was. Police riot armour. He’d somehow pulled out the SWAT sewn on and spray painted an backwards R in orange paint on his chest. “Its for Riot” he proclaimed proudly, before being reminded that the R was backwards. Felicity has what looked like a typical hero outfit. Though it had a weird pattern on it. She told us it was element proof and at the time I had no idea what they could’ve meant. As for Johnny….he didn’t change at all. “This is my outfit. Three thousand dollars, made for the best”. A little lower than what I thought but it’ll do I thought to myself, my respect growing somehow for this guy. As for me, well I’d be lying if I didn’t say on our way to training ground 8, people were staring at me. Couldn’t tell if it was because they were thinking what a dumb ass or they thought I looked cool. At the moment, I didn’t care. The way I saw it, they were looking at the best and they didn’t even know it!

Half way there however I got hit with something in hindsight, probably should’ve seen coming. As we made our way through a tunnel leading out to the training grounds, something grabbed me and pulled me into what looked like a small maintenance room. And that voice was all too familiar
“What in that name of fuck ARE YOU DOING HERE!?!”
Looks like ol’ Zap wanted answers…

The Association of Super Beings and Extraordinary Humans: Chapter 1

September 14, 2018 (updated September 28, 2018) Published by MorbidToast

Where was I again? Oh yeah! Also don’t ask about the chapter numbers, this wasn’t my idea and I’ve got not clue how to actually write this so bare with me. Anyway, back to the story. I had just bumped into one of the two people who honestly I consider some of my closest friends and allies. I wouldn’t even be alive right now if it weren’t for these two. But right now, one of them was screaming at me like a raptor on its period. This would have actually bothered me, had it not been for the fact that his forehead barely made it to my chin. Though his wild, flame-like orange hair added to his height. And I don’t mean ginger looking hair. I mean had I noticed this kid before I smacked into him, I would’ve assumed instantly that his scalp had caught fire.

“Hey!” He snapped, while snapping his fingers at me “you blind or somethin’?! Watch where yer goin’ next time ya big stonefaced goon!”. Honestly holding back laughter was the hardest thing a guy with super strength in that situation could hold, but hearing the guy who was with him caught me a little off guard. “Axel for Christ sake leave him alone, we’re going to be late!” Firehead gave me one last scowl, got on a bus and was away faster than I’d met him. I’ll admit I did stand there in the street for a while thinking that actually happened but today was my day, and nothing was gonna spoil it. Nothing dammit!
Though the bus he caught was for me too. And after realizing this fact did I decide to walk to whole way. Cardio always helps. What, you think just cause I have super strength I don’t need exercise? Well I’ll have you know that exercise increases my strength limit. How do I know that? Good question; I don’t. Not a single clue. But it makes sense right? (I know now that it does. What’s important is that I’m right). Anyway, the walk wasn’t too bad. I saw Starlight stop a bank robbery at breakneck speed and bought a coffee at my other favourite coffee place, other than my Aunt Patti’s. I walked for about an hour before the building I was looking for came into view. And god damn was that place HUGE. It took up a good section of the city all on its own, not counting recruitment living spaces and training ground. I looked all around and people from all over were making their way in and out. It was almost like watching a machine. Ever turning gears in an unbreakable system. And I was gonna be the strongest gear in that system. Also metaphors are pretty cool when you visualize em. Neat huh?

From the outside it was awesome but when I got inside, not only was way, WAYYYY more magnificent on the inside, I suddenly realized how nervous I actually was, not to mention being an introvert surrounded by what might as well have been a country’s worth of people. You know that tight feeling you get in your chest? When you’re trying really, really hard not to panic but are obviously panicking? Yeah, I had that the whole time I was there. It lessened though, once I found the recruitment desk. The woman sat behind seemed nice enough. She asked for my form so I handed it to her. She inspected it almost as if she’d though I’d poisoned it then proceeded to ask me a few questions. Nothing unusual, just general life questions and such. Almost like I was applying for a regular job which is actually what being a superhero is for us. It’s just a job. For some its fame and money and all that comes with. For me…well let’s just say I wasn’t doing it for me. I had my reasons which I won’t share right now but I will eventually. Once you’ve earned it.

After I got everything sorted out, the woman directed me to wait in a specified seating area to wait for my instructor. I nodded and proceeded to my little area and sat down. I let out a sigh and the excitement began to grow. I was actually here! I have my dream job! I ended up grinning yo myself, trying to contain my excitement until I noticed to other people coming this way. I didn’t recognize them at first, but I heard his voice and I’m pretty sure I silently cursed every one of the powers that be. “Hey! Its that goon who whacked me!” I looked up and fire head and that guy he was with were stood in front of me before sitting next to me. “Sorry about my brother back there. I hope he didn’t upset you or anything like that”. Now that I had got a good look at him, the other one looked freakishly like fire head. Except he wasn’t all wild. He was smartly dressed, dark brown hair that was neatly done and his demeanour was very calm. Literally the polar opposite. “Uhh no, not at all. I just didn’t expect to see you two here” I laughed to myself albeit awkwardly. “Well in any case, my names Kyle. Kyle Caldwell” he held out his hand for me to shake and I did so gladly, somewhat relieved that he wasn’t totally insane. The three of us talked for a while and honestly, it was a decent conversation. I found out they were twins (never would’ve guessed!) And that Kyle can turn invisible. Pretty standard but I also found out fire head, or Axel as I had got to know him by, could blow stuff up with explosions from his hand! How cool does that sound!?! After a while, two other people joined our little area. One was a japanese looking dude who wore a suit, which looked like if you asked him about it, it would probably be more than ten thousand dollars. He looked like he was straight outta the Triads or the Yakuzas which I later learned that he was. The other person though, a woman, was just…

She was one of the most beautiful girls I’d ever seen. Though at the time, I never even let myself think it. I was here for someone else. Not for her.

The Association of Super Beings and Extraordinary Humans: Chapter 0

September 12, 2018 (updated September 20, 2018) Published by MorbidToast

You ever wonder what its like to be a superhero? With the spandex (weird tights by the way; people forget that a lot) and the cool powers and catchphrases and all that jazz. Sounds pretty cool doesn’t it? Save the world, get the girl (or guy, I don’t judge!) alls well in super land and the like. Funnily enough, I happen to be a super hero. Not that web slinging kind nor the shield throwing patriot type like you guy’s have. My hero’s are pretty different. Maybe

Dammit, where are my manners? Names Jack Barrick. They call me Hammer Jack. And uhh, well I guess this is my story. The story of how I became the best of the best. Fighting the good fight for those who can’t! Hold on to your butts, this is gonna be a ride!

So. My story starts just like anyone elses, on a typical Tuesday morning. Though I assume your day doesn’t involve people with crazy ass superpowers and the smell of gorgeous baked goods. Well that’s what it was for me. I awoke in my pretty small but comfortable apartment. It sits above a sweet little cafe that my Aunt Patti owns. She’s a friend of my mom and she owes my mom a favour for saving her cafe when my mom was a hero. So I cashed in on it, now I got a place to live almost rent free. Almost. Anyway, I got up, slipped on my slippers because I’m blind and the irony is funny so it’s getting mentioned and stared at the ceiling for about a minute before getting back up. I happened to catch a glimpse of my calendar as I rose, realizing today was the day! I had recently applied for the Association, and I got accepted! Today was my tryout day you could say, and god damn I couldn’t be late. I made some toast and ate it so fast I’m pretty sure my tongue didn’t even touch the bread then got dressed making sure to pack my hero outfit in a sports bag. At that point, I didn’t really know how I wanted to look as a hero since….

Anyway, I chose a sick looking leather jacket my mom gave me one time. It still fit which I found kind of weird but didn’t think too much of it. The collar stuck up too, just to give me that extra jazz. Still does in fact. Never go out without it. Back on track, I packed the rest of my outfit into my bag and zipped it up. There wasn’t much else to my outfit; just some battered jeans and some work boots I got ages ago. Nothing you’d see a professional wear but it was good enough for me and the fact I’m still wearing it now proves it served the purpose I wanted it to serve. I stepped out onto the street and took in the sunshine and air of Sidestep City. Weird name I know, but honestly of all the things in this world, counting the people with superpowers too, its not really too weird. The city’s smell however; you get used to it.

It was almost as if the whole universe sensed my intentions that day. The sun was shining, the sky was clear and people of all kinds seemed to be enjoying their day. Hell, a few pros went by waving and saying hi to people as they rushed off to work. As for me, well I totally forgot I was actually walking in the middle of the street!  A street funnily enough packed with other human beings! And I smacked right into two that, looking back on it now, I’m grateful that I did. Partially anyway.

Character Profiles: Kane Xavier aka Absolute Victory

September 4, 2018 (updated October 19, 2018) Published by MorbidToast

Every story of heroes and villains needs a greatest of them all right? Well, heres the profiles of the number one professional hero, known and loved the world over. But there’s more to him than first glance. EVERYONE has their secrets…

Real Name: Kane Xavier
Hero Name: Absolute Victory
Codename: One
Superpower: Amplification of muscle growth and control of muscle growth proteins allows him to obtain strength, speed, stamina and others to reach a level that some would consider godlike. He’s the worlds greatest for a reason.

Backstory: For Kane, it was the name at first. He didn’t care about his superpower, or his looks. It was the name. The name is the key. So choose a name he did. The name he felt would go down in history as the worlds greatest and strongest hero ever to walk the earth. He was still a young man when Tyrant began his cascade of terror. Due to his youth and arrogance, Kane faced Tyrant, in a battle that I’m sure the very planet itself shook from the ferocity, and almost lost his life in the process. Were it not for Mama Glam, then in her 40s, Kane would be the one wheelchair bound this day. But it was seeing this sacrifice of a great hero, that awoke something in him. A power it seems that could only have come from a god. To us, it looked like strength. To Kane, it was rage. Rage that built til it exploded with such ferocity that for the next few painstaking moments, there was no higher being other than Kane Xavier, and the demon he now faced. Kane fought with everything his mind, body and soul could dish out, until at last, Tyrant fell and fell harder than anu villain had fallen before. It was then that onlookers, heroes, villains and ordinary people alike, gazed upon the victory of the greatest hero who ever lived. Absolute Victory. He will do whatever he feels is right to protect the people he chose to protect. No matter what that may be….

Insider Secrets!

September 1, 2018 (updated September 1, 2018) Published by MorbidToast

In this post, I’ll be detailing some insider secrets and answer any questions anyone may have (if you got any). Anyway, lets get into it! Enjoy!

1. The heros in this universe aren’t technically superheros per say. At least not in the way you and me see superheros daily, like Spider Man or Captain America. These heros are essentially, a public service, like the police or the fire department. Some heros assist the police, others assist the fire department by helping put out fires or stop fires all together. When superhumans began to surface, the Association was founded by a rich businessman who believed these superhumans could not only assist humanity to evolve but also to assist them daily, helping solve crimes as well as stopping criminals. The villains however simply chose to live that way, just as the heros chose to fight them.

2. As you may have noticed, a few super powers have a few repercussions for using them. An example of this would be Jack Barricks own unstoppable super strength. While creating these heroes and villains, I wanted to give them powers that had infinite potential, but also infinite repercussions. Jack Barrick can become strong enough to lift whole sky scrapers and maybe even bigger than that, but that would seriously put him at the adrenal limit. His adrenal limit is basically how much adrenaline can be in his body before his heart can’t take it, he enters cardiac arrest, and dies. Not to mention his own punches can break bones (usually his).

3. Following along with the public service thing, some heroes do actually operate in teams, and therefore have an operator, who guides them while they are out in the field. The operator keeps track of their location, uses mapping and tracking equipment to locate their current objective, and keeps track of their current physical condition to bring them back safe. Recruit Team LL – 65s operator goes by the name of Emily Parker and she got quite the shock when Jack Barricks heart rate shot up and bones were suddenly broken! (It was her first day she panicked!)

4. While the main character is Jack, the others are equally important. They have their own goals, own demons and will all face different challenges. But they learn to trust each other just a little bit more and eventually become a force to be reckoned with! The current members of LL-65 are:

Zap (Tyler Brochen, leader)

Hammer Jack (Jack Barrick)

Hysteria (Felicity Pittman)

Riot (Axel Caldwell)

The Ghoul (Kyle Caldwell)

Jonny Yakuza (no known hero alias)

5. I realize that I haven’t fully flushed out the personalities of these heroes yet. Each character has a personality that makes them their very own

Jack’s personality is quite shy and reserved at times. He likes his privacy and considers himself an introvert to an extent. However his resolve and will are nigh unbreakable and his devotion to his allies as well as those he believes need to be defended are something to be admired. He is also quite lazy and procrastinates often. Other than this, he enjoys video games, and telling bad jokes that usually make no sense. However, get him mad and trust me. No amount of steel walls, crazy superpowers or straight up firepower is gonna stop him from beating the hell out of you.

Tyler is quite the leader. Charismatic, easy going and friendly, he is always willing to help anyone and finds the time to make sure his teammates are comfortable and safe. He has a friendly rivalry with Jack, with the two being friends for so long. He misses Alice as much as Jack does; the three were a trio during their school days and were inseparable. Tyler becomes very assertive during a crisis, making sure to lead his team with utmost efficiency. Tyler enjoys reading, and logical puzzles, as well as science. (No amount of science has helped him decipher Jack’s jokes however)

Axel is the loudmouth joker of the group, always telling stories of great heroics that he wouldn’t even have existed at the time of their occurrence. His ego makes up at least 75% of his thought process, always making sure to remind everyone of how great he is. When he’s not doing this, hes hounding Jack for combat tips and trying to beat many of his own personal records. In his spare time, he enjoys tinkering with machines, annoying Tyler, arguing with Kyle over things that make no sense, and playing video games (not realizing Jack beats him almost every time. I say not realizing because he never seems to count his losses. Strange.)

Kyle is, funnily enough, the total opposite of his explosive twin brother. Kyle enjoys the finer things, always reading the finest book, wearing the finest clothes and generally being a bit of a snob. But he shows respect where respect is due, and makes sure his teammates have that respect. He enjoys painting, and proving Axel wrong (a hobby of which will never be boring). As well as this, he has an ego of his own, but shows more self control. Though not too much

That’s it for now. I’ll add more should I need to or a question requires a long answer (sorry in advance!) Enjoy the read!

Character Profiles: Tyrant

August 30, 2018 Published by MorbidToast

Hello! Sorry for not showing anything for a while, I’ve been on holiday for the past week. As an apology, lets take a look at a villain who just might give Jack Barrick the fight of his life. A fight he may not win. Enjoy!

Villain Name: Tyrant
Superpower: Genetically created to be the superior in every situation. Combat, Analytical tasks, Skill. All of it. The perfect living being ever seen. Has super strength, durability, stamina and is able to shape his body to fit any combat situation.

Tyrant is perfect. No more, no less. During the early stages of the Superhuman Rise, the governments of the world gathered data on some of the first top superheroes and villains and had the scientists and geneticists of the world create a being capable of wiping out them all, in case such a situation were to arise. In the end, they succeeded after thousands of failed tests. But the success was short lived, as this artificial human remembered it all. All the genetic memories of his “brothers” were incased into his mind, and it drove him mad. He knew he was above all, including his creators. He almost destroyed his creators and the heroes and even villains who banded together to stop him. Only after being finally beaten by the worlds greatest hero, Absolute Victory, was he sealed away in a cryo chamber, never to be awoken. But he is still alive, just in cryo sleep. So the question remains. When will he return? When will he bring about the end of the superhero era? Or better yet…

Who’s to say, he hasn’t done so already?

Born Evil: The Final Chapter

August 14, 2018 (updated January 2, 2019) Published by ERook

It was just one week til school started, and the sixteen year old Whitney was only too eager to get out of the house. She was never horribly uncomfortable around her aunt, but her cousin was a different story. In all the time she had been in Oregon, her cousin did not speak a word to her. Whitney tried to get to know her the best she could, but it was as if the little girl was making an effort to remain distant.

After a long day of chores and a delicious dinner on the back patio looking over the water, Whitney felt it was time to go to bed. She carried her and her aunt’s dishes in from the backyard table as it just began to lightly rain. In the distance there was lightning and Whitney had to make sure the table was all cleaned up before the storm got too close. She gathered the leftover food and the remaining silverware with plenty of time.

Just after the sunset, Whitney bid Lily goodnight and walked up the stairs, passing her little cousin on the landing without a greeting. Her masked cousin looked up at her as she passed, and then continued down the stairs.

Whitney crawled into her small bed, cramped between her dresser and wall, right next to the window. She was tired, but could not help but watching the storm creep up in the window. The lightning got brighter and the thunder louder, but after hours, she managed to cry herself to sleep.

It was about 3 a.m when Whitney was awoken by the loudest crackle of thunder she had ever heard. She sprang up, heart beating out of her chest and sweating. Trying to catch her breath she looked around her room to try spot the clock and see what time it was. The rain was still beating down in one of the biggest storms since her family’s accident.

After a moment, a strike of lightning lit up the room; she saw something, or someone, standing within arm’s reach of her bed. She was terrified, but the next flash of lightning seconds later revealed the figure’s identity. It was a short hooded figure wearing a yellow raincoat, gloves, red rain boots, and a hand drawn mask. Whitney screamed, but under the roar of the thunder, it was hardly audible. “What do you think you’re doing!” Whitney screamed at her cousin. “Well?” she said, “You can give someone a heart attack doing something like that.” Whitney was always respectful of the girl’s silence, but right now, she demanded a response. She grabbed her cousin by the arm as she brought her feet to the floor. “Tell me what you are doing in here!” yelled Whitney again. No response. She pulled her little hooded cousin in and grabbed the mask over her face pulling it off in one fell swoop.

Darkness. Under the mask their was nothing. Pitch black, no face. Just an empty hood. Whitney screamed and began crying. She was terrified and squirmed her way back to the corner of her bed while kicking the faceless hood down to the floor. The moment the raincoat fell to the ground, Whitney jumped back to her feet and ran for the door, still weeping. “LILY!” she screamed “LILY PLEASE HELP ME!” Whitney ran to her Aunt’s bedroom not even thinking to look behind her to see if the faceless girl was following. She got her room and burst through the door to find nothing more than an empty, clean bed with a note on it. She picked it up and read it to herself in a soft voice. “I’m Sorry.” Whitney teared up some more and wiped her face, trying to keep her fear under control.

She ran back out into the main hall and saw her faceless cousin standing at the end of it. “LEAVE ME ALONE!” She yelled as the house was suddenly shaken by a bolt of lightning hitting the main chimney. Whitney fell to her feet and rolled down the stairs, barely dodging the wood from the newly torn hole in the roof. She picked herself up and ran through the kitchen for the exit. At the dinner table, Whitney saw another figure sitting, motionless. “Lily..?” She whispered. She moved closer to her, while watching the stairs for the demonic girl to follow. Their was an empty glass on the table next to her body, along with several spilled pill bottles. Lily had ended her life herself.

Whitney ran for the back door not even able to give much thought to her aunt. She slid open the backyard door and ran down the deck stairs. On the last step, she slipped and fell face down into the packed sand, with a large glass shard stabbing her in the leg. It took her a few seconds to move. She looked up and saw her hooded cousin, wearing the mask again. “WHAT DO YOU WANT!” Screamed Whitney in pain. The masked girl slowly shook her head and took a few steps away. Whitney, immobile, watched as the coated figure picked up a large chunk of bricks from the now fallen chimney, almost the size of her. Her strength was inhuman. The girl walked back over to Whitney, and dangled the bricks over her head. “PLEASE. NO” Whitney said crying. “YOU DON’T HAVE TO DO THIS.” The girl raised it over her own head, preparing to drop it. Whitney quickly grabbed the glass shard from her leg and jumped at the little girl with all her might driving it into her sternum. The rock fell behind her as she tackled the girl.

Black goo began oozing from the raincoat. Whitney looked at the mask one more time before lifting herself up and limping away. She slowly made her way to the front of the house to be greeted by the long, steep staircase that first brought her here. Whitney hobbled down the stairs quickly, not entirely sure of what she did to her cousin or if whatever it was still alive.

As soon as she reached the bottom of the stairs, she was able to reach the main road. She waddled to the middle of it and slammed her hands down on the first car that stopped. A man rolled down the window. “Miss, whats wrong?” Whitney could not speak, only cry. The man let himself out of the car and grabbed a blanket from the trunk. He threw it over Whitney, and escorted her to the backseat. The man got back in the driver’s seat and took off. “It’s alright mam. Everything is okay now. Everything is going to be okay.”

Character Profiles: Harry Gorrman aka Thrash

August 14, 2018 (updated December 6, 2020) Published by MorbidToast

Here we are. To shake things up, lets take a look at a villain from the Broken Arrow Initiative! Keep a note of the number. If you know the tragedy of Jack Barrick, you’ll understand its meaning. Enjoy!

Villain Name: Thrash (1)
Real Name: Harry Gorrman
Superpower: hyper tissue regeneration, body is basically a walking nuclear reactor due to massive exposure to nuclear and toxic waste and chemicals and has adapted its regeneration ability to encase this radiation. Enhanced strength but rather poor eyesight.

Harry Gorrman was always on the run, being a notorious but rather clumsy burglar. He was offered a huge pay cut by a known mob boss, if he could manage to secure a set of documents relating to land owned by a chemical testing company. Unfortunately, due to poor planning, bad tool and horrible timing, he ended up getting a bit more than what he came for. Namely accidentally plunging into a vat of nuclear and chemical waste. And being left there for 3 whole months. Until his regeneration kicked in and saved him. Now he’s a hulking mass of radioactivity and horribly scarred muscle. And he’s pissed.

Once again, if you would like to see more villains or another hero or perhaps even a post that explains more about this world let me know!

Character Profiles: Kyle Caldwell aka The Ghoul

August 14, 2018 (updated August 14, 2018) Published by MorbidToast

Real Name: Kyle Caldwell
Hero Name: The Ghoul
Codename: Invis
Superpower: can alter the colour of his skin pigments to bend light, rendering him almost completely invisible.
Class = Biological (skin pigments)

Backstory: rather than follow in the footsteps of his (1 minute) older twin brother Axel, Kyle opted for the quieter, more refined approach. He did well in school, rarely ever got into fights and would often disappear to go do something he found more interesting. After passing college with a degree in almost four subjects, he along with Axel, applied to the Association and were accepted. Kyle secretly looks up to Axel, as he wishes he could be more outspoken like him.

Okay I’m gonna do something different here. What profile would anyone like to see next? Another hero or a villain to shake things up. Its entirely up to you and I’ll drop in a profile for one character of either. Its a promise!

Character Profiles: Axel Caldwell aka Riot

August 12, 2018 (updated December 6, 2020) Published by MorbidToast

Real Name: Axel Caldwell
Hero name: Riot
Codename: Fragger
Superpower:  The skin on one hand is comprised of a material like the side of a match box with the other hand having some sort of matchhead gunpowder mix, as well as his sweat being composed of a substance not too unlike gasoline, creating either fiery explosions or even napalm!
Class = Biological
(His sweat and skin make his power)

Backstory: Axel was the more violent and loudmouth kind. He had a heart of gold (sometimes) and would often stick up for those less fortunate than himself. Not like anyone ever challenged him anyway. His superpower was deemed too dangerous for anyone to challenged and that only fueled the fire of his ego. After he left college with a degree in aviation and aerodynamics, he and his twin brother Kyle Caldwell (aka The Ghoul) applied and were accepted into the Association. He seems to look up to Barrick. No idea why. Almost as a mentor figure.
