Jaakuna the Super Agent (Chapter 7: The Doom Saber Part 2)

November 13, 2020 (updated November 13, 2020) Published by cmpnaruto

Naomi went to visit her old sensei, Tokunori. He usually was at an old dojo training his students, but agreed to help Naomi after hours to give her private lessons.

“Thank you so much, for this Tokunori-sensei.” said Naomi.

“Of course, so what happened to bring this about Naomi-san?”

“Right now, I am on a case to find and recover stolen weapon technology. I managed to find the culprit, however she is an old colleague and friend that use to be in the FBI with me. She was a fierce fighter, and we always use to practice and spar with each other, eventually becoming the top rookie agents in our division. However, after her mom died, she suddenly grew very distant. She eventually left the FBI, and told me that there was no point in protecting this cursed society we live in. I was confused by what she meant, but after seeing and fighting her again the other day, I think I’m beginning to understand her a little more.” said Naomi with a gloomy look on her face.

“So what is it that you feel you should do? Do you think there is any getting thru to this friend of yours?” said Tokunori.

“I wish that there was. I really tried, but she is hell-bent on achieving these wicked plans of hers, and I have no choice but to stop her.  Somehow, she has grown so frighteningly powerful. We used to be pretty close in combat skills, but when we fought, I was completely outclassed. Her speed was practically inhuman, and she was strong enough to toss me around like a ragdoll. I need your help Tokunori-sensei.”

“I understand Naomi-San. It pains me to hear that you are dealing with such a tragedy, but I will do everything in my power to help. Just know that I won’t go easy on you. The training will be more intense than you could ever imagine.” said Tokunori.

“I’m ready. Throw every thing you have at me.” said Naomi.

“Right, as tenacious as ever, Naomi-San.  First, we’ll have a sparring match, so I can assess your current skill level.”

Tokunori and Naomi sparred, with Naomi giving it everything she had. The two traded blows, with Naomi lasting quite a while, but unable to land any blows. Eventually, Tokunori finally caught Naomi off guard, causing her to fall flat on her back on the mat.

“Very impressive, Naomi-San. You’re skill and technique, while a bit linear, are very polished and not lacking at all, but your mind and body are untrained.” said Tokunori.

“My mind and body are untrained?” said Naomi

“Yes, I suspect that’s what miss Jaakuna, has managed to get over on you in the past few years since you’ve seen each other. We’ll begin with basic strength training, and then we’ll hone your speed and reflexes.”

Over the next few days, Naomi trained with Tokunori non stop. She endured the most grueling weight training, followed by dodging exercises, and image training. Naomi had never experienced such training in her life, but needed to do anything she could to surpass Jaakuna.

The next day at Ricardo’s place, he was in the process of finally finishing Jaakuna’s sword. “There, finally finished. This thing is amazing. Jaakuna-san will love it. I can already hear her evil laugh, now. I might even get a shot with her after this.”. said Ricardo gleefully

Back at Jaakuna’s house, Jaakuna sat in her hottub, with her beautiful brown hair drenched, and her huge naked breasts only partially covered by the bubbling water. Without her dark clothes and glasses, Jaakuna had a much softer, almost deceivingly innocent look. Suddenly, her phone started to ring as it sat right beside her.

“Hello?” said Jaakuna

“Yes, Jaakuna-san, I just wanted to let you know I finished your sword.” said Ricardo

“Perfect, I’ll be over in an hour” said Jaakuna as she turned off her hot tub. Jaakuna hopped out of the water, and grabbed her towel wrapping it around her thick curvaceous body. “It’s only a matter of time now. Soon, everyone that could’ve stood in my way will be nothing more than a memory.” said Jaakuna with an evil grin.

Jaakuna threw on her yellow tank top, containing her jiggling breasts snuggly, followed by her jeans which she pulled over her butt, cheek by cheek as they bounced, and finally threw on her black blazer and glasses, completing her signature outfit. She jumped into her camero, and speeded off to Ricardo’s place.

“Hello, Jaakuna-san. Here is the sword you requested. It is complete with an Adamantine outer edge for maximum cutting power, and Ebonite makes the core and handle of the blade, which allow it to channel energy into lightning, fire, and wind attacks of your choosing. Each button on the side of the hilt will allow you to choose the type of attack you want to use, and can even be used in combinations.”

Jaakuna gleefully grabbed the sword from it’s holding case, and began to swing a few practice swings. “It’s incredible, it looks so badass, even the curved shape of the blade makes it so easy for me to wield.” Jaakuna then pressed the blue button on the hilt, causing the sword to suddenly glow blue. She pointed the blade in the air, and pressed the attack button on the handle, as  huge bolts of electricity fired into the air blowing a whole into the roof, before lighting up the sky.

“Hey, you’re gonna destroy my house, Jaakuna-san..” said Ricardo

“Ohh, hush. I gotta say, I’m impressed. This definitely is a sword fit for the soon to be queen of the world. Hahahahahaha!” she laughed as she lit up the sky with an electrical storm.

“I called it. There goes the evil laugh. So predictable, Jaakuna-san..” said Ricardo

“Excuse me?” said Jaakuna with an unamused look in her eyes

“Sooo, I take it you like it. Seeing as how you’re gonna rule the world and all Jaakuna-san, couldn’t you use a real man to help you through all of this?” said Ricardo with a slight nervous sound in his voice.

“Haah, please, You wish.. You’ve done well today, but don’t let it get to your head. There’s not a man alive, tough enough to handle this chick.  Nice try though, stud.. pfft.. heh heh heh. ” laughed Jaakuna as she shook her head in indifference..

“Aww, come on, there ain’t no one who can make weapons like this. One date, just one date.” begged Ricardo.

“Hahaha, I don’t think so, little boy. Now quiet, you fool. What about the other weapons?” said Jaakuna

“The weapons for the rest of your organization will be done by tommorow, and while they are impressive I made sure that they didn’t have the same power output and features that your sword has. said Ricardo

“Good. I think I’ll call it the doom saber.  The beginning of the end of it all.” said Jaakuna as she held up her sword victoriously.

Jaakuna the Super Agent (Chapter 6: The Doom Saber Part 1)

November 13, 2020 (updated November 13, 2020) Published by cmpnaruto

At the foreman’s office, Naomi finally managed to get back on her feet after being humiliated by Jaakuna.

“Damn, she’s stronger than ever. I couldn’t do anything.” said Naomi

A few minutes later, Foreman Jackson had informed Miss Akure what had happened, and they both went back to the office to make sure Naomi was alright.

“Oh no, are you ok Miss Naomi?” said Miss Akure

“Yes, I think so.. just a couple of broken ribs.” said Naomi

“We need to get you to a hospital straight away.” said the Foreman Jackson

“Thank you, but I can take myself. Please don’t worry about me. I’m the one who messed up, but rest assured I’ll catch Jaakuna, and fix this. I promise.” said Naomi

“Such a diligent girl, but please don’t push yourself too hard. Please get those injuries taken care of first and foremost.” said Miss Akure.

“Thanks Miss Akure, I will” said Naomi as she walked to her car holding her stomach.

Later that evening, Jaakuna had decided to pay a visit to her tech-man, Ricardo, who makes all of her equipment. She pulled in to a rather sketchy looking, secret lair type of building.

“Ah, Miss Jaakuna, looking lovely as always. What brings you in today?” said Ricardo

“Yeah, yeah, spare me the flattery. I must say, the shapeshifting device was quite impressive. It made my mission today alot smoother.” said Jaakuna.

“I’m glad it suited your needs, Miss Jaakuna. It’s always a pleasure to serve you.”

“Listen, I’ve got another job for you, Ricardo. I need you to make me a sword using these blueprints I stole. A sword with unrivaled destructive power.” she said as she handed him the flashdrive with the secret files.

Ricardo took a look at the blue prints and was astonished by what he was looking at.

“Unbelievable, weapons that can harness and convert energy? To think something like this was in development. Only you could manage to steal information this classified. Where did you get this?”

“I stole it from a military research lab in Okinawa, but nevermind that. Can you do it or not?” said Jaakuna impatiently

“Of course, I should have it done by next week.” said Ricardo as he started to pull out the plates of rare metal.

“Good, see to it that you do. Oh and while, you’re at it, make some lower class weapons as well.  I need to provide at least some progress to Miakumi-Sama and the other members so they don’t get suspicious. Just make sure my sword is on a completely different level than the other weapons.”

“You got it ma’am. That’s miss Jaakuna for you. Always thinking one step ahead.” said Ricardo

” Hmph.. Well, I’m out of here. Let me know the second you’re done with them, so I can pick them up.” said Jaakuna as she headed back to her car.

“Most definitely, you can count on me.”

The next day Naomi was using her laptop at home, with a brace around her ribcage.

” I have to figure out what Jaakuna’s next move will be. She already has everything she needs to make the weapons, but what is she planning on doing with them? No, just figuring out what she’s planning and where she’ll be isn’t good enough. I have to get stronger, and fast. Even if I were to catch her, As I am now, I’m just no match for her.” Naomi said as she clenched her fists. “The doctor said I should be good as new in a few days. I bet Tokunori sensei can help me. I haven’t seen him in years, though. He was probably so disappointed in me for leaving the dojo, to become an FBI agent. I have to get ahold of him though.”

The following week at Kurai Yohei, Miakumi caught wind that an investigation was taking place regarding the sabotage at Okinawa research facility, and that the organization was under suspicion behind the incident.

“Hmm, it looks like they have quite a capable detective working on this case. To be able to trace this incident back to us in such a short time is quite impressive. She needs to be dealt with.” thought Miakumi.  “Urayama.. Zurui.. Come to my office at once..” said Miakumi over the intercom.

“Yes ma’am, we’ll be right there”. said Urayama

“I have an important mission for you two. It seems we’re under suspiscion, so I need you to assassinate the detective on this case to ensure that no one stands in our way. Her name is Naomi Senshima. Don’t underestimate her, got it?” said Miakumi with a stern voice.

“Yes, Miakumi-sama. We definitely won’t fail you.” said Zurui.

“Jaakuna informed me that the weapons should be done in three days. You will use them to eliminate Naomi.”said Miakumi

“Do we really need Jaakuna’s weapons to take out one measly detective? Surely she can’t be that tough.” said Urayama

“I thought I told you not to underestimate her, Urayama” said Miakumi

“R-Right. My apologies. Let’s go Zurui” said Urayama as they left to make preparations.

Back at Naomi’s house, she finally managed to get in touch with her former sensei.

“Hello?” said Tokunori over the phone

“Hello, Tokunori sensei, it’s me Naomi.”

“Naomi-san, it’s so good to hear from you. How is everything going, with the detective work?”

“Actually, that’s kinda what I was calling about.” Naomi said in a nervous chuckle. “I’m in quite the predicament. This is my toughest case yet. It’s a long story, but basically if I fail, it really could mean the end of society as we know it”.

“Sounds like you’ve been watching too many super hero movies, Naomi-san.” laughed Tokunori.

“Tokunori-sensei! I know it’s hard to believe, but I’m serious.” Naomi said

“I’m joking Naomi-San, lighten up. So how can I help?”

“I was really hoping I could train under you again, sensei. The enemy I’m facing is much stronger than I am right now, so I really need your tutelage.”

“Hmm. You were always my best student. How can I refuse. In fact, are you free tonight?”

“Yes, I’m free. I’ll head over straight away. Thank you so much, Tokunori-sensei.” said Naomi as she immediately gathered her things and headed out of the house.

Jaakuna the Super Agent (Chapter 5: A fierce battle-Jaakuna vs Naomi)

November 10, 2020 Published by cmpnaruto

Naomi began to ready a stance for battle, as Jaakuna also took a confident yet guarded stance.

Naomi lunged towards Jaakuna throwing a right hook, but Jaakuna dodged countering with a roundhouse kick.

Naomi ducked under the kick and flipped backwards, as her breasts bounced from the jump, pulling out her pistols in the process. Still upside down in midair, Naomi fired two shots. Jaakuna, with frighteningly fast reflexes, simply moved her head to the side dodging one bullet, and jumped to her left, dodging the second bullet. Right as both girls land, they sprung towards each other, as Naomi prepared to fire at point blank range. However, Jaakuna kicked one gun out of her hand before she could fire. Naomi recovered, and pointed the other gun at her, but Jaakuna quickly stomped down on Naomi’s gunwielding hand to prevent her from using it.

Naomi grunted in pain, as she pushed at Jaakuna’s sexy belly to try and get her off of her hand. This only made Jaakuna step down harder, forcing Naomi to let go of her gun.

“HaHaHaHa.. looks like the difference in our skills has only gotten wider over the past few years.” laughed Jaakuna.

“Don’t count me out yet, Jaakuna.” Naomi tilted and sprung up with an upper cartwheel kick to Jaakuna’s breasts, freeing herself from Jaakuna’s pin in the process.

Jaakuna was barely fazed by the attack, as it only made her chuckle a bit. Naomi then went in for another kick, but Jaakuna ducked under the kick and fell to her hands in a push-up position, with her round butt squeezed and back arched in to hold her position . Naomi then went for a dropkick down on Jaakuna with her leg raised nearly 180 degrees, but Jaakuna used all four limbs to launch herself in the air dodging the dropkick.

Naomi quickly picked up her gun, and went to shoot Jaakuna while she was in the air. Jaakuna, still airborne, reached down and grabbed the back of Naomi’s jacket collar, and used her as leverage to pull herself back down to the ground dodging the bullet in the process. As Jaakuna landed, she spun around, tossing Naomi into a wall in the process . As Naomi’s back hit the wall, her breasts jiggled violently, knocking the wind out of her. Before Naomi could completely get back up on her two feet, Jaakuna lunged forward with a nasty jump kick right to Naomi’s stomach, knocking her completely through the wall.

“Pathetic, surely you can do better than this?..” said Jaakuna as she confidently and athletically poised the leg she kicked with up to the side.

Naomi stumbled back onto her feet as she panted trying to catch her breath. Jaakuna then gestured her hands as two throwing knives fell from the sleave of her jacket into her hand. Jaakuna threw the knives at Naomi, but Naomi caught one of the knives and used it to block the other. Naomi jumped up and threw the knife back at Jaakuna only for her to catch it between her fingers with perfect timing. However, in the split second Jaakuna took her eyes off of Naomi to catch the knife, Naomi blitzed behind Jaakuna and attempted to deliver a kick to the back of her head.

Jaakuna reacted just in time, and moved her head to the side locking Naomi’s leg in her arm in the process. Jaakuna, with one arm wrapped around Naomi’s leg, spun around to the opposite side, elbowing Naomi in the face. Naomi quickly shook it off, and jumped up with her free leg to deliver another kick. Jaakuna simply blocked it with her wrist, and put Naomi in a headlock smothering her with her breast. Naomi struggled to get free as she punched and grabbed at Jaakuna’s belly, to no affect. As the difference in speed and strength became evident, Jaakuna began to laugh as she held Naomi’s head, squeezing it between her breast and her arm.

“HaHaHaHa.. You disappoint me, Naomi. I admit, even I was a bit on edge when I found out you were the one tailing me, but you’re barely any stronger than when we were in the FBI. I guess our time apart has made you soft, but it’s only made me that much stronger! said Jaakuna as she grabbed Naomi’s neck, choke lifting her off her feet with one hand. Naomi gasped for air, as she held onto Jaakuna’s wrist. Jaakuna suddenly let go of Naomi’s neck, only to immediately jump up  as she delivered a devastating kick into Naomi’s ribs before her feet could even touch the ground. The shock from the kick sent Naomi twirling back several yards crashing into the office desk. Holding her ribs in pain, Naomi couged up a bit of blood, from the internal damage.

“I could kill you if I really wanted to, but luckily for you our little play date has to come to an end. I enjoyed myself, Naomi. Kicking your ass, has resurfaced so many memories hahahaha.” laughed Jaakuna as she went to grab her briefcases with the stolen metal.

“S-Stop, You’re making the biggest mistake of your life Jaakuna! ” said Naomi.

“Oh, but I won’t stop, Naomi. Not until everything and everyone in this world has submitted to me.”

“I don’t get it, what happened to make you like this? Why are you doing this?”

” I simply woke up from that delusion you like to call a peaceful society. There’s no such thing in this world, there are only winners and losers, and in the end there can only be one winner. That’s just the way the world works, and I plan to be the winner. In fact, there’s no choice in the matter.”

“It doesn’t have to be this way, please don’t do this.” said Naomi as she managed to at least rise up on one knee.

Jaakuna chuckled as she placed a hand over her hip. “Beg all you want, Naomi. All you’re doing is proving which one of us is destined to win.” she said as she headed towards the exit of the building.

“Well, I’d love to stay and chat, but I really must get going.  You should get those injuries checked out, and if you’re gonna pick a fight with someone, you better make damn sure you’re prepared. For a fight with me, may very well be your last.”

“Damn you.” said Naomi as she tried to chase after her, but fell back to the ground from her disorientation.

“Ciao sweetie, better luck next time.. Hahahahahahaha!” laughed Jaakuna as she raced away in her camero. Naomi tried to get up once more, but she was simply too winded from the last blow and fell back to her knees.

“Damn, I blew it.” Said Naomi as she punched the ground.

Jaakuna the Super Agent (Chapter 4: Confrontation)

November 10, 2020 Published by cmpnaruto

Naomi returned home from the visit to the security guard and began to piece things together.

“Kurai Yohei. Could Jaakuna really be working for them? There’s no telling what an organization like that could be planning to do with weapons that powerful. Said Naomi as she pulled up the little bit of background she could find on the evil agency.

“However, from what the researchers told me, they only have the blueprints, not the actual weapons themselves as they require a special type of metal to work, meaning the next course of action Kurai Yohei would probably take, would be to go after that metal.”

Naomi researched on her laptop where adamantine and ebonite were being mined, and sure enough, there was only one mining company that took on such a task.

“Kraig’s mining company, that narrows it down well enough. This must be Kurai Yohei’s next target. I have to get there first” said Naomi.

Naomi prepared her guns, threw on her signature golden jacket, and jumped into her charger as she fastened her seatbelt over her voluptuous breasts.

As she raced to the mining company, Jaakuna was also riding to the same location in her camero, as her breasts were bouncing up and down from the rocky road.

“The mining company should be in the northern district of Okinawa. I doubt they have any kind of security to right home about, but just to be on the safe side, I have a new toy I’ve been wanting to try out.” Said Jaakuna as she clipped on a very futuristic looking mechanical buckle that had four buttons onto her pants.

Jaakuna arrived at the mining company, but before she pulled in, she could see the facility was gated and secured. She then pulled up a picture on her phone of the head researcher Miss Akure, and pressed one of the buttons on her buckle. This caused the buckle to scan the picture on her phone. Bizarrely enough, bright blue electricity sparkled from the buckle engulfing her body, causing her to morph into Miss Akure! The buckle that Jaakuna put on turned out to be a shapeshifting device.

As she pulled up, she was greeted by the guard at the gate.

“Can I help you ma’am.” Said the guard.

“Yes, I am Miss Akure, head of the research and development department at Okinawa lab. I need to speak with the foreman, It is an urgent matter.” Said Jaakuna in disguise.

“Yes, Yes I understand. I heard about the recent incident, go right ahead. Have a great day.”

“Thank you, you as well…. Oblivious fool”. Jakuuna said as she drove off into the facility.

Jaakuna pulled up to the main office and was greeted by the foreman.

“Hi miss Akure, to what do I owe the pleasure of you stopping by” said the foreman.

“Well, as I’m sure you’ve heard of what’s going on, I need to be sure you guys are taking the proper procedures to keep the adamantine and ebonite safe. May I see where it is being stored?”

“Oh, yes ma’am right this way”.

The foreman led Jaakuna to a vault that was located deep underground.

“Both metals are being stored in here ma’am. We’ve managed to mine almost a half a ton”.

” I see, I see.. Good work, I’m sure no one will be able to find or access it here.” Said the disguised Jaakuna.

Suddenly the foreman’s cell phone rang. “Foreman Jackson speaking. Oh, ok I understand. I’m sorry miss Akure, it seems I’m being requested again, I’ll be back in just a minute.” said the Foreman

“Oh, by all means please take your time” said Jaakuna.

As the foreman left, Jaakuna pulled out a small remote mine and planted it on the vault’s lock. She began to set the mine to a low setting as to not cause an unnecessarily big explosion. As she pressed the detonation button, the lock blew off the door. She opened the door of the vault revealing all of the metal. “HaHaHaHa.. As I said, easy pickings.”

Back at the office, foreman Jackson is greeted by Naomi.

“Hi, I’m detective Naomi. Sorry to barge in on you like this, but I have reason to believe that you’re being targeted for the special metals that you are mining”.

“Nice to meet you detective, and I feared as much already, which is why we are taking special measures to make sure the metal is safe. In fact, Miss Akure is also visiting to make sure we were following proper procedures.”

“Really, I just spoke to her this morning, and she was working at the lab. She didn’t mention anything about coming here.” Said Naomi with a puzzled look on her face.

Jaakuna began taking huge plates of the metal and put them into two large briefcases. She ran back up above ground and walked thru the facility trying to avoid being seen by anyone to avoid suspicion. She came back to the main office where her car was parked. As she hid behind a wall across from the front desk, she noticed the foreman talking to an awfully familiar face.

“N-Naomi? What the hell is she doing here. Shit. Is she still with the FBI? Of all the people to be here right now.” Jaakuna thought to herself with an agitated look. “Ok, I’ll have to play my cards right to keep this from getting too messy.” Jaakuna placed the brief cases down and walked out from behind the wall.

“Oh, hey miss Akure. What are you doing here, I thought you were at the lab.” said Naomi.

“Um, Yes I was, but with everything that’s been happening I couldn’t rest without making sure this situation didn’t get any worse than it already has.” Said Jaakuna in disguise

“You know, you could’ve just contacted me, I had already suspected someone would try and target the metal.” Said Naomi.

“Yeah, you’re right, I guess I just wanted to see with my own eyes. Well, you can get going now miss Naomi, it looks like these fine fellows have everything under control.”

“Perhaps, but we’re dealing with some very dangerous criminals, I better stick around for a while.”

“Look, sweetie, that’s really not necessary. I insist you leave.”

Naomi was puzzled why Miss Akure was so insistent about her leaving, and suddenly her phone rang.

“Hello? Detective Naomi speaking.”

“Hello, Miss Naomi. I was calling to inform you that although we haven’t been able to recover any of the files, we’ve repaired the lab” said Miss Akure.

“Miss Akure? But if you’re at the lab, then who’s…?” said Naomi as her eyes bucked wide open at the imposter.

Jaakuna smacked her face.. “Tch.. I guess the jig is up.” Jaakuna said as she pressed the button on her buckle reverting herself back into her normal voluptuous appearance.

“Jaakuna! So you were behind this”. Said Naomi.

“I gotta say Naomi, not bad, not bad at all. You’re powers of deduction are as good as ever. You always were good at analyzing the facts. If it were anyone else but me, this would be over. But it’s me, so things are about to get really ugly for you”. Said Jaakuna

“She.. She shapeshifted? What the hell is going on here?” said the foreman.

“Run.. I’ll take care of this, you don’t wanna get caught in the crossfire.” Said Naomi.

“Um right, you don’t have to tell me twice.” Said the foreman as he bolted out of the building.

“Ha, you want a piece of this, then come and get it..” laughed Jaakuna.

Jaakuna the Super Agent (Chapter 3: Revelation)

November 10, 2020 (updated November 10, 2020) Published by cmpnaruto

Jaakuna entered into the office with her boss. “As always, I’m very pleased with your work Jaakuna. Not only did you manage to infiltrate the biggest research facility in japan, but also managed to get ahold of classified weaponry technology that only a select few know about. This will change everything. You will be greatly rewarded for this, Jaakuna.” said the boss.

“Thank you, you’re words are too kind, Miakumi-sama. From what I’ve been able to tell from the scans, these weapons can harness and utilize energy. ” said Jaakuna.

“Yes, with weapons like these there’s no limit to what we can do.  Kurai Yohei will be unstoppable. Jaakuna, I’d like you to be in charge of the development of these weapons. I have full trust in you.”

“Yes maam, you can count on me.” Jaakuna walks out of the office gleefully, while Urayama and Zurui stare at her with jealosy.

Back at Naomi’s place, Naomi  was still searching for any piece of evidence that was left behind from the sabotage of the research facility.

“Ok, I haven’t been able to find a single fingerprint and there is no footage of the culprit. There has to be something. Just a single piece of evidence is all I need. I better contact the research facility to see if there was at least a possible witness”. said Naomi.  Naomi called the research facility to get further leads.

“Hello? Ah yes miss Naomi, how is the investigation coming along?” said Miss Akure.

“To be honest, I haven’t been able to find a single piece of evidence from the footage nor the left over burnt panels that you gave me, Miss Akure. However, this only further confirms my suspicions of Jaakuna. I can’t see anyone else pulling that off. Were there any possible witnesses?” Said Naomi.

“Well, It seems like our security guard just got dispatched out of the hospital. He may have some answers that you’re looking for. I’ll give you his address.”

“Awesome, this will really help my investigation, thank you.”

Naomi visited the security guard who was injured by Jaakuna.

As she knocked on the door, the security guard opened the door and was shocked to see such a well-endowed beautiful woman standing there.

“Hi, I’m Detective Naomi, can I come in?”

“Of-Of course, have a seat. How can I help you miss Naomi?” said the security guard as he struggled to keep his eyes off of Naomi’s bosom.

” I’ve been working with the researchers at the facility to find whoever the culprit was, but it seems the culprit left not even a single piece of evidence, that I’ll need to move this investigation forward. I understand, you recently just got discharged from the hospital. Who did that to you?”

“It was a young woman, probably about your age. She was pretty tall with a full figure, I’d say around 5’9″ or 5’10”, and she wore glasses and had on a black blazer jacket, yellow top, and black jeans. Quite a cocky, mouthy woman. Her reflexes and moves were unbelievably fast and strong. Fighting her was like getting run over by a train, I’d never felt or seen anything like it.”

“It’s just as I thought, you’re description of her all but confirms my suspicions of who the culprit might be.” said Naomi.

“Really? Do you know her?”

” Yes, we once studied together at law school, and even both became FBI agents for a while. She was a close friend of mine, but her ambitions became out of hand and left to start her own endeavors. I wound up leaving not too much longer after, to be a private detective.” said Naomi.

“I see. So do you have anyway of locating this Jaakuna?”

“As of now, I don’t. However, I do have a few connections, and I know where to start. As skilled as Jaakuna is, I suspect she’s not alone. Any number of organized crime groups, would want that sort of technology.” said Naomi.

“Oh, so you suspect she works for the yakuza or something like that?”

” It’s quite possible, although I doubt the Yakuza would try something so straightforward like this. This sounds more like the work of a underground group I’ve had my eye on called  Kurai Yohei”.

“Kurai Yohei? What’s that said the security guard. “They are a relatively new organized crime unit, that are believed to have been involved in missing classified information files. So it makes sense if they would be behind this most recent incident.” said Naomi.

“I see, damn. I hate to be so useless in this situation.” said the security guard.

“No, you have been more than helpful, I can narrow this down thanks to the information you’ve given me.”

“Well, I wish you the best of luck Miss Naomi”.

” Thank you, this will be my toughest case yet, but rest assured i’ll solve it.”

Back at Jaakuna’s house, She was on her master computer looking at scans of the secret weapons.

“This is just too good, boss-lady really gave me complete freedom with these weapons. So So naive. (I have full trust in you)? Didn’t you know you should never trust the devil, HaHaHa. I had a feeling that Miakumi would leave me in charge, but I had no idea it would be so hard to keep myself from laughing in front of her when she made such a stupid move. Well, She’ll regret it soon enough, they all will. HaHaHaHaHa.”

Jaakuna studied the scans to make a plan for the weapons, but realized something crucial. ” Hmm, looks like these weapons will only work with a metal known as adamantine and ebonite. Looks like I’ll have to get my hands on that, before I go any further. I should keep this on the downlow from the boss or any of the other members of Kurai Yohei. I’ll be the only one knowing about the secrets to these weapons, heh heh heh. Now, I just need to find where this metal is being extracted, and it’ll be easy pickings from there.” With a little bit more researching Jaakuna found where the metal was being extracted. “Ah hah, Kraigs mining company eh. Looks like I found my next target.”

Jaakuna the Super Agent (Chapter 2: Naomi)

November 10, 2020 Published by cmpnaruto

That afternoon at the Research Facility, the researchers were stuck still struggling to figure out what to do about the situation. “How are modules 3 and 4 looking?” said Miss Akure..

“They are completely scrambled, I can’t even get power to them” said another one of the researchers.

“Man, this place is trashed. All of that hard work gone.”

“We’ll have to get a detective involved in this one, this is serious” said Miss Akure.

The researchers called the japanese police, and they quickly arrived to the scene. The chief arrived and the researchers explained to him what had happened. “If what you say is true, this is beyond the scope of the japanese police.. I know just the super detective for this case” said the chief..

At a gorgeous mansion with an ocean view, a cell phone rings and a young woman picks it up

At a gorgeous mansion with an ocean view, a cell phone rang and a young woman picked it up.. The young woman was very beautiful with a curvaceous and fit figure nearly on par with Jaakuna.

“Hello?” said the young woman.

“We’ve come across a very serious case, please come to Okinawa research facilities as soon as possible”. said the chief.

“Ok, I understand. I’ll be there within the hour.” Naomi turned on the shower, and took off her t-shirt as her large breasts bounced in the process. Naomi stepped into the shower, lathering her curvaceous figure.. “The chief mentioned something about secret weapons, I wonder what he meant” thought Naomi. Naomi stepped out wrapped in a towl, with her breasts tightly squeezed in the towel. She stepped over to her closet, and pulled out a green tank top, leggings, and a golden jacket. She slipped into her leggings pulling them up, which caused her booty to jiggle. She then slipped her tank top over her head, and over her breasts, cleavage exposed through the deep neck line. She then slipped on her jacket keeping it unbuttoned, coming down to about navel length, which created the perfect canvas for her curvaceous figure as it hugged her breasts, but still stayed open enough to show of her full figure.

Naomi rushed in her charger to the scene of the crime

Naomi rushed in her charger to the scene of the crime. Once she arrived she was immediately greeted by the chief to the researchers.

“This is Detective Naomi, she’ll definitely take care of this for you guys. She has solved every case she has been assigned to in record time”. said the chief.

“Thank you so much, Naomi.” said the Miss Akure.

“It’s my pleasure. Can you take me to the lab so I can make an assessment?”

“Of course, it’s right this way” the researcher said, as she showed Naomi to the lab.

“Wow, whoever did this, left no stones unturned.” said Naomi as she surveyed the wrecked lab.

“Yeah, and the crazy part is that there is no footage of whoever broke in last night. We checked the footage, and it shows nothing happening, I’ve never seen anything like it”. said the researcher.

“Do you mind if I have a copy of the surveillance footage from last night?” said Naomi.

“Of course, although I don’t think it will reveal much.” Miss Akure gave Naomi a disc containing the footage, as Naomi assured the researchers that she would find whoever was responsible.

Back at her home, Naomi replayed the footage a few times to see if she can catch anything.

“Hmm, they weren’t kidding, there is absolutely nobody in this footage. Wait, let me see something”. Naomi noticed a small computer screen in the background that displayed the date 10/23/2020. “If today is the 25th, that means the sabotage took place on the 24th, so why does that screen say the 23rd? Surely they didn’t make a mistake and give me the wrong footage.” Naomi began to realize what was happening. “If this wasn’t a mistake, then that means whoever sabatoged that lab, was skilled and smart enough to somehow switch the footage to the prior day all without getting caught. There’s only one person I know, who’d be capable of something like that. Surely, it couldn’t be. after all this time?”

Naomi called the researchers, after discovering a big clue. “I have a pretty good idea who’s behind this.” said Naomi.

“Really? who is it?” said Miss Akure.

“It’s a woman named Jaakuna. I don’t have any solid proof, but as she was once a former colleague of mine when I used to work in the FBI, this seems like her handiwork.”

“Wow, to think someone who used to work in the FBI would do something like this, but this is great. Your reputation precedes you Naomi.” said Miss Akure.

“Thank you, I’ll wrap this up in no time.”

“What are you thinking Jaakuna?” Naomi said as she let out a sigh. Naomi was reluctant to face her former friend, but knew she had to find her for the sake of humanity. Naomi looked up Jaakuna’s whereabouts and contact information in her files, but the information was invalid. “As expected, of course she wouldn’t leave herself that easy to find.” said Naomi. Although reluctant, Naomi found herself getting excited at such a challenge, as she was easily able to solve every case before this.

At another corporation, known as Kurai Yohei, a mercenary agency, two women were seen discussing with each other about a certain evil agent.

“I wanted the infiltration job in Okinawa. I can’t believe that damn Jaakuna got another top notch assignment.” said Urayama.

” I know, I feel like the boss definitely favors her. I mean, I know she’s skilled, but at least give us some good assignments to shine”. said Zurui.

“Yeah, I never did like her anyway, she’s so damn full of herself. I bet I could take her on”.. Suddenly the door burst open..

“Take who on? said Jaakuna.

“Oh, hey Jaakuna, uhh no one, we were just talking about taking you on in um, a game of pool”. said Urayama.

“Yeah, that’s what I thought. HaHaHa, you pathetic morons make me laugh.” said Jaakuna.

“Yeah, we’ll see who gets the last laugh. You’re just priviliged because your the bosses favourite.” said Zurui

You just don’t get it do you? That has nothing to do with it, I’m simply better and stronger than all of you, so just keep making me laugh”.

You just don’t get it do you? That has nothing to do with it, I’m simply better and stronger than all of you, so just keep making me laugh”

“Why you, I oughta” said Urayama.

“That’s enough”, said another voluptuous woman who appeared to be in her 30s. “Jaakuna, I’d like to see you in my office”. “Yes, Miakumi-sama” said Jaakuna.

Who is this mysterious boss and what is this organization, that Jaakuna works for?

The Hunger Games: Peeta’s POV. Chapter 21

March 22, 2020 Published by spamifischer

Chapter 21

The sun has set on the rainy day and the storm outside is growing louder and more intense. My sheet of plastic seems like a pathetic attempt to keep the cave dry, and I’ve now had to supplement it with the broth pot to catch the continuous dripping. I’ve been on watch for several hours now, chilled to the bone inside the damp cave, and other than keeping up with deflecting water from creating pools in the cave, it’s been pretty uneventful.

Katniss seems to be sleeping soundly and I don’t want to wake her, but my stomach begs for food and I don’t want to eat without her again. I ignore the rumblings for as long as I can, but eventually I shake Katniss awake.

“How long have I been asleep?” she asks drearily.

“About five hours.”

I help her sit up slowly. “I’m hungry, how about you?”

As if this were permission, I grab for the pack and assess its contents: a couple pieces of the groosling, a small amount of dried fruit, and various roots that Katniss must’ve collected.

“Should we try and ration it?” I ask, though this spread is far from being a complete meal in itself.

“No, let’s finish it,” Katniss says. “The groosling’s getting old anyway, and the last thing we need is to get sick off spoiled food.” She goes ahead and divides the food equally, and in a matter of minutes it’s reduced to nothing.

“Tomorrow’s a hunting day,” Katniss announces. She, like me, doesn’t seem satisfied with our meager meal.

“I won’t be much help with that. I’ve never hunted before.” Baking is my specialty, but so far I haven’t found an oven in the arena, and certainly there wasn’t a rolling pin set out just for me in the Cornucopia.

“I’ll kill and you cook,” Katniss suggests. “And you can always gather.”

“I wish there was some sort of bread bush out there,” I joke, but Katniss doesn’t smile.

“The bread they sent me from District Eleven was still warm,” she sighs reminiscently. She hands me a few mint leaves to chew on to curb our appetite until the next time we eat, whenever that is. Hopefully the rain clears quickly, otherwise there won’t be much opportunity to hunt.

“Where did Thresh go?” Katniss asks. “I mean, what’s on the far side of the circle?”

“A field,” I answer, remembering my short excursion to its outskirts with the Careers. “As far as you can see it’s full of grasses as high as my shoulders. I don’t know, maybe some of them are grain. There are patches of different colors, but there are no paths.”

“I bet some of them are grain. I bet Thresh knows which ones, too,” Katniss assumes, considering Thresh comes from the agriculture district. “Did you go in there?”

“No. Nobody really wanted to track Thresh down in that grass. It has a sinister feeling to it. Every time I look at that field, all I can think of are hidden things. Snakes, and rabid animals, and quicksand. There could be anything in there.”

“Maybe there’s a bread bush in that field, maybe that’s why Thresh looks better fed now than when we started the Games,” Katniss speculates jokingly.

Does he really? The thought of Thresh bigger and stronger than when we started makes me uneasy, and that certainly makes one of us. I imagine I’ve lost fifteen pounds or more since the Games started… how long ago? I’ve lost track of the days, but I imagine it’s been nearly two weeks, though it feels like an eternity. On average the Games are starting to wrap up around now, though a few were over in less than a week and the First Quarter Quell lasted almost a month. Katniss seems to have lost weight too, and she didn’t have much to lose in the first place, as is the case with most people that live in the Seam. She’s used to not having much to eat, and now that I’m feeling better, I’m having a much harder time getting used to an empty stomach.

“Either that or he’s got very generous sponsors,” I suggest. “I wonder what we’ll have to do to get Haymitch to send us some bread.” Even the lumpy drop biscuits from District 12 sound like a delicacy right now.

“Well, he probably used up a lot of resources helping me knock you out,” Katniss smirks, though I don’t find it funny at all.

“Yeah, about that,” I say, looking her right in the eyes and holding her hand sincerely. “Don’t try something like that again.”

“Or what?” she teases.

“Or… or…,” I want her to know I’m not kidding, but I’m also not one to threaten her. “Just give me a minute.”

“What’s the problem?” she grins.

“The problem is we’re both still alive,” I say finally. “Which only reinforces the idea in your mind that you did the right thing.”

“I did do the right thing.”

“No!” Anger is rising in me now and my grip on her hand tightens. “Just don’t, Katniss! Don’t die for me. You won’t be doing me any favors. All right?” I could’ve been the reason Katniss was killed at the feast, but just because my leg is better doesn’t make the end justify the means. Does she just want to be the hero? Because people that live like heroes are honored and looked up to until their heroism gets them killed. Then, whether noble or not, death is still death.

Katniss is taken aback by my outburst. “Maybe I did it for myself, Peeta, did you ever think of that? Maybe you aren’t the only one who… who worries about… what it would be like if…”

“If what, Katniss?” my voice is much softer now, hanging onto her every word. Is she saying what I think she’s saying?

“That’s exactly the kind of topic Haymitch told me to steer clear of,” she says, her eyes shyly flitting away.

“Then I’ll just have to fill in the blanks myself,” I say, and I lean in to kiss her.

Her lips press back against mine. My right arm slips under her back to pull her closer, and my left hand caresses the side of her face. My body, which was chilled to the core from the freezing cave, is suddenly flooded with explosive warmth from my heart to my fingertips. My senses are acutely awakened, and I long to preserve this feeling, hold onto it before it slips away.

Katniss pulls away first and our lips part. I place a final kiss on her nose and can’t help it as a smile erupts across my face. Looking at her, I notice that that blood is soaking through the bandage I wrapped around her forehead.

“I think your wound is bleeding again. Come on, lie down, it’s bedtime anyway” I say, placing a pack below her head to rest it on.

Miraculously, Katniss’s socks have finally dried and I put them back on. I begin to wrap them back in my jacket as a second layer, but Katniss notices my goosebumps and shivering arms and makes me put it back on.

“I’ll take watch this time,” Katniss asserts.

I try to protest, but she stands firm. “Fine,” I finally say. “But you stay in the sleeping bag with me. We need to keep warm.”

She obliges and I crawl in next to her. I extend my right arm and she rests her head on it, and as I drift off, my left arm instinctively curls around her body, holding her like I’m protecting her from being taken away. I’d be okay if she drifted off next to me; I don’t think anyone is going to come looking for us in this weather.

I sleep soundly but in a short time Katniss rouses me again, telling me she’s having a hard time keeping her eyes open. I help her lie down and tuck a pack under her head. “Tomorrow, when it’s dry, I’ll find us a place so high in the trees we can both sleep in peace,” she says before she falls back asleep.

But it doesn’t get any drier. While Katniss sleeps, the rain is as heavy as ever, and the thunder seems to rattle the cave. Night turns to day but the sky doesn’t get any brighter. Katniss and I continue to take turns on watch, but my stomach is so empty that I can’t focus on sleep, and Katniss is in the same boat. We spend the day sharing the sleeping bag, taking in each other’s heat. The grumbling of our stomachs creates a painful duet, and I feebly suggest that we should try to go outside and gather, but we both know it would be useless. The last thing either of us needs is pneumonia. I wonder if the other tributes are suffering through the same thing, or if the storm is even affecting the entire arena.

We suffer in silence as the day drags on. We rarely talk, neither of us having much energy to say anything other than to clarify who’s on watch. After what seems like forever, Katniss finally speaks up, and I’m grateful to hear something other than the thunder outside.

“Peeta,” her voice is barely audible in the beginning. “You said at the interview you’d had a crush on me forever. When did forever start?”

“Oh, let’s see,” I muse teasingly. After an uneventful day, the viewers must be hanging onto our every word. “I guess the first day of school. We were five. You had on a red plaid dress and your hair… it was in two braids instead of one. My father pointed you out when we were waiting to line up.” The memory floods back to me as I tell the story.

“Your father? Why?” she asks.

“He said, ‘See that little girl? I wanted to marry her mother, but she ran off with a coal miner.”

“What? You’re making that up!” She blurts.

“No, true story,” I assure her. “And I said, ‘a coal miner? Why did she want a coal miner if she could’ve had you?’ And he said, ‘Because when he sings… even the birds stop to listen.’”

“That’s true,” she says, a smile emerging on her face as she thinks of her father. “They do. I mean, they did.” Her smile fades as quickly as it came.

I decide to continue so she doesn’t linger too much on the thought. “So that day, in music assembly, the teacher asked who knew the valley song. Your hand shot straight up in the air. She stood you up on a stool and had you sing it for us. And I swear, every bird outside the windows fell silent.”

“Oh, please,” she says, laughing.

“No, it happened. And right when your song ended, I knewーjust like your motherーI was a goner. Then for the next eleven years, I tried to work up the nerve to talk to you.” It feels crazy that this is the first time I’ve voiced this to her, but I never pictured it happening like this.

“Without success,” she jokes, nudging me playfully.

“Without success,” I agree. “So, in a way, my name being drawn in the reaping was a real piece of luck.”

Katniss doesn’t seem to be sure what to make of all of this. It’s a lot to take in, and I can’t believe, after 11 years, I’ve finally told her how I felt. But if not now, then when?

“You have a… wonderful memory,” she finally says.

“I remember everything about you,” I say easily. I notice a look strand of hair covering her face and tuck it behind her ear. “You’re the one who wasn’t paying attention.”

“I am now,” she says, her gray eyes looking directly into mine, though I can’t decide if she means the words she’s saying.

“Well, I don’t have much competition here.” I think of Gale, how if he were here right now, he and Katniss would have no trouble playing up the role of the star-crossed lovers from District 12.

Then, Katniss says the words she knows I want to hear, the words the audience is waiting for. “You don’t have much competition anywhere,” she says, and this time she leans in.

Our lips meet for only a second before there’s a loud thunk outside the cave and we both jump. I peer past Katniss and see a glint of silver through the small cave opening, and in an instant I’ve leapt out of the sleeping bag and out into the rain.

I don’t even care that the rain is beating down on me, soaking through my clothes, because a few steps ahead of me is a silver parachute tied to a large picnic basket. I scoop it up and rush back into the cave, absolutely beaming.

Katniss rips open the basket excitedly and removes its contents. Haymitch has sent us a feast! My mouth is already watering when she pulls out rolls, goat cheese, apples, and even dishes and silverware. I’m suddenly reminded of the last meal I had in District 12 before the reaping, although that roll was stale and the apple was mushy. In that moment, I had no idea what was ahead of me. Now, weeks later, I’m in an arena, still alive by some miracle, part of the final five, and sharing this meal with Katniss.

To top it all off, Katniss removes a large ceramic dish, and I can feel its heat emanating towards me. She removed the lid and the steam rises, and from the smell alone I know that the pot contains lamb stew, Katniss’ favorite, straight from the kitchens of the Capitol.

“I guess Haymitch finally got tired of watching us starve,” I say joyfully, barely able to contain my excitement.

“I guess so,” Katniss agrees, smiling at the feast before us. She looks like she’s about to pounce on it, but I think about how our stomachs will react to our first real meal in days.

“We better take it slow on that stew. Remember that first night on the train? The rich food made me sick and I wasn’t even starving then.”

“You’re right,” Katniss concedes, looking slightly disappointed. “I could just inhale the whole thing!”

We allow ourselves each one roll, a small serving of stew on wild rice, and we decide to split an apple. Although we pace ourselves, it is not enough to satisfy our empty stomachs.

“I want more,” Kantiss says simply, staring longingly at the stew remaining in the pot.

“Me too,” I agree, and I’m about to help myself to another serving before I decide to hold back.

This brings to mind a memory from a birthday when I was a little kid, turning maybe four or five years, and my dad baked a cake especially for me. That’s the same year he started to teach me how to decorate. As kids do when given the opportunity, I ate way too much cake, ignoring my dad’s warning that it takes the body at least half an hour to register that it’s full. I spent half the night throwing up what I had taken in.

“Tell you what. We wait an hour, if it stays down, then we’ll get another serving,” I suggest.

Katniss agrees. “It’s going to be a long hour,” she says, still staring at the spread before us.

“Maybe not that long,” I say, figuring we should shift the subject away from food. “So, what was that you were saying just before the food arrived? Something about me… no competition… best thing that ever happened to you…”

“I don’t remember saying that last part,” she says, her cheeks flushing red.

“Oh, that’s right. That’s what I was thinking.”

I settle in next to her in the sleeping bag to keep warm and wait out the hour ahead of us. And, who am I kidding, I like being next to her, my arms wrapped around her, protecting her as we’re sheltered in our tiny bubble of peace.

“So, since we were five, you never even noticed any other girls?” she asks.

Several times I tried to brush my feelings for Katniss aside, because every time I saw her with Gale, it only reinforced the idea that we would never be together. There were lots of pretty girls at our school, of course, and I dated a couple over the years. But nothing seemed to stick, because even though I tried, I could never seem to let go of my feelings for Katniss.

“No, I noticed just about every other girl,” I confess, “but none of them made a lasting impression but you.”

“I’m sure that would thrill your parents, you liking a girl from the Seam.”

“Hardly. But I couldn’t care less.” I think of what my mom must think, maybe even as she’s watching me right now. I picture her disapproving, menacing scowl, but it doesn’t matter. All I care about is this moment. “Anyway, if we make it back, you won’t be a girl from the Seam, you’ll be a girl from the Victor’s Village.”

I picture us as neighbors, living in giant mansions that were built 74 years ago when the Hunger Games were written into being. There are twelve in total, although Haymitch is the only occupant, and the others must be collecting cobwebs.

“But then, our only neighbor will be Haymitch!” Katniss realizes.

“Ah, that’ll be nice,” I wrap my arms tighter and hold her closer. “You and me and Haymitch. Very cozy. Picnics, birthdays, long winter nights around the fire retelling old Hunger Games tales.”

Katniss snickers at the thought. “I told you, he hates me!”

“Only sometimes,” I assure her. “When he’s sober, I’ve never heard him say one negative thing about you.”

“He’s never sober!”

“That’s right. Who am I thinking of?” I rub my chin, feigning confusion. “Oh, I know!” I snap my fingers theatrically. “It’s Cinna who likes you. But that’s mainly because you didn’t try to run when he set you on fire. On the other hand, Haymitch… well, if I were you, I’d avoid Haymitch completely. He hates you.” I smirk at her.

“I thought you said I was his favorite,” Katniss teasess.

“He hates me more. I don’t think people in general are his sort of thing.”

I wonder how Haymitch is reacting to our conversation. Since he fell off the stage at the reaping, he’s been a sort of punching bag, always the victim of jokes. He’s probably used to it at this point, after 24 years of being in the spotlight. The Gamemakers often pull the mentors aside for interviews during the Games, especially when they get down to the final five or there’s a lull in the action. He must be getting lots of press right now, considering how Katniss and I’s love story might be the most interesting part of the Games up until now. It has to be, if he was able to rack up enough sponsors to send us this feast.

“How do you think he did it?” Katniss asks, interrupting my pondering.

“Who? Did what?” I ask.

“Haymitch. How do you think he won the Games?”

I consider her question for a moment, compiling the information that I already know. Haymitch won the 50th Hunger Games, the second Quarter Quell, where there’s some sort of special twist to celebrate the 25th anniversary. That year, there were double the tributes; Haymitch was the last one standing out of forty-eight in total. It occurs to me that I never asked him this question, and he seems reluctant to bring it up. I don’t blame him, of course. I’m sure reliving the most traumatic experience of his life isn’t on the top of his want-to-do list. Some victors, however, like to brag about their wins and constantly remind the country of their gallantry, in case they forgot. Instead, Haymitch drowns his sorrows with alcohol and tries to suppress the memories. I’d be surprised if he even remembered enough details to totally recall the full story.

Since Haymitch’s Games was before I was born, I didn’t have first-hand experience watching it, and the rest of the district doesn’t tend to talk about it, either. Sometimes they broadcast iconic moments from the old Games, but I don’t recall seeing any from his. I try to imagine Haymitch 24 years ago, at 16-years-old just like Katniss and I. This in itself is a difficult task considering how my current perception of Haymitch is that of a sullen, haggard man. I’m sure he was in much better shape then, he had to be, but I also don’t picture him as somebody able to overtake anyone he came in contact with. District 12 is hardly ever dangerous enough in terms of build and strength to stand a chance against many of the other tributes, especially the males who have trained their whole life. However, one thing that I will give Haymitch credit for is his wits. All in all he has been a good mentor and seems to know the Games well, and his perception of them is much different than any other I’ve heard. Finally I decide on the most probable answer.

“He outsmarted them,” I say.

Katniss nods in agreement, but doesn’t say much else. She seems to be lost in thought, but I don’t want to pry too much.

We only last another half an hour before we cave and decide to eat again. As Katniss begins to remove the food once more, I hear the anthem play and make my way to the cave entrance to see if the sky has anything to say tonight.

Katniss is unphased and continues to dish the stew into two bowls. “There won’t be anything to see tonight,” she says indifferently. “Nothing’s happened or we would’ve heard a canon.”

But when I peek my head out, there’s a projection in the sk. Thresh’s face is looking back at me.

This one absolutely demolished me...I actually laughed instead of breathing out through my nose loudly.
