Marvel’s Greatest Tourist: Issue #11

April 27, XXXX

I arrived at The Baxter Building after sliding back from The Xavier Institute. I couldn’t believe my eyes that Mr. Fantastic was waiting for me.

Mr. Fantastic: “You must be Barnibus. Dr. McCoy told me that you would come over. I am fascinated with your unique ability.”

Locale (While snapping some pics): “I was going to swing by this place a few days ago before all that craziness happened. I am glad that most of them are behind bars.”

Mr. Fantastic: “I agree. Now, come with me. I have something for you that will help me study your powers.”

We went up the elevator to the top, and I was amazed I would get this far. I asked where the others were. Mr. Fantastic said that the others were looking into an anomaly on the other side of the country. Then, he told me to strip to my underpants and step into a chamber to get started on the tests. I went in thinking that it was a scanner or something. Inside, I was right. It scanned me, and then It started swaddling me in some fabric. The Good Doctor told me I was getting fitted with an outfit made of Unstable Molecules, the same stuff The FF and some superheroes wear. I was presented with a full-body mirror when I exited the chamber. I was amazed.

Locale: “Oh wow! This looks great. I look like a real superhero.”

Mr. Fantastic: “Glad to hear it. Now, Let’s get started. Show what you can do.”

The Watcher: “Meanwhile, The Wizard floated down to the Baxter Building, ready to attack.”

I spent about ten minutes transmuting various items while Mr. Fantastic was on his computer looking at the readings.

Mr. Fantastic: “This is truly incredible. You can stop now, Mr. Morazzley.”

Locale: “Okay, Doc.”

Mr. Fantastic: “It is undoubtedly a fascinating ability that you possess. You seem to be able to convert physical matter and energy into metaphysical form and apply their properties or functions to our reality.”

Locale: “Cool. I kind of call them “R Mechanics.” The R is short for Reality. And I am aware of most of this form years of practice but it is nice to hear explained in a scientific way.”

Mr. Fantastic: “Are there any limitations you had discover after spending years on this power?”

Locale: “Hmmm? Anything I revert returns to the place they were at before I change them. My range is about…”

Before I could finish, the building started to shake. I tried to hold onto something while Mr. Fantastic asked his computer what was happening. His computer complied, saying several small devices had been placed around the building and slowly lifting it.

Mr. Fantastic: “…The Wizard.”

Locale: “The Wizard?”

Mr. Fantastic: “A terrible scientist with Anti-Gravity Discs.”

Locale: “I thought it was an actual wizard. What now? I can help.”

Mr. Fantastic: “I would appreciate that since the rest of my team went out for an important get-together. Look at this map, find the devices, and remove them. I will find The Wizard. A man of his ego cannot be that far from his dirty work.”

After giving him a thumbs-up, I dashed to the site of the first device. I transmuted the wall and went through the hole. I looked around, spotted the disc, and grabbed it.

Locale: “One down.”

I continued around the building for the other discs without issue. The Baxter Building slowly floated back to the ground with each device removed. I finished my job and ran back to the lab with the discs. When I arrived, Mr. Fantastic was fighting some purple guy. I assumed that he was The Wizard. He kept firing at the doctor, and since these discs belonged to him, I decided to return them…Ultimate Frisbee Style. I chucked them at their creator, and that got him distracted long enough for Mr. Fantastic to punch The Wizard right in the jaw.

Mr. Fantastic: “Help me remove his armor. It’s loaded with dangerous tech.”

Locale: “That is easy.”

I tapped his armor and transmuted it. Mr. Fantastic picked up the nearly naked man while reverting his armor to its normal state.

Mr. Fantastic: “Thank you.”

Locale: “Not a problem.”

Mr. Fantastic: “I will hand over him to the authorities. You can stay here and take a breather.”

I agreed and sat down for a while. Mr. Fantastic allowed me to stay for the night. I met the rest of the Fantastic Four and had a nice dinner with them. I soon went to bed to get ready for another day of exploring.

The Watcher: “At Dr. Reed Richard’s lab…”

Mr. Fantastic: “…I have checked the readings, and they are exactly what we feared. This young man is like a Concept Transmuter. He can essentially turn anything into a conceptual force that can shape our world if it is capable of growing.”

????: “So what should we do about him?”

Mr. Fantastic: “For now, we should leave him be. He is a nice guy. The suit I gave will monitor his abilities and will inform me of his whereabouts.”

????: “Okay, but we should think of something. We don’t need another Kubik or Michael Korvac.”

Mr. Fantastic: “Sigh…Agreed.”
