Plausible Deniability

The crew cautiously drove toward the warehouse, not knowing whether or not it was a trap. It had been days since anyone had seen little Jimmy, and it was up to them to find him. Aura sped around the corner in shock of “T Swift” blasting through the stereo.

“CRASH WHAT THE FUCK!?!?!” screamed Aura.

“I knew you were trouble when you walked” Crash continued to sing beautifully.

Aura’s natural reflexes made her slam on the gas pedal after hearing such a loud sound. In the moment of yelling at the gang she heard a loud “thump” from the front of the van. A little figure rolled up onto the windshield and lay in the cracked glass.

“OMG he’s so cute” said Nikkolai.

A little pixie appeared out of the figure and flew around to the passenger side door.

“Hello, my name is Elon. It is is a pleasure.”

“Dude are you okay?” asked Kieva.

“Oh of course…. you know, this kinda thing seems to happen to me every week,” replied the dense little pixie, Elon.

“Do you wanna help us find little Jim” asked Aura.

“Why not? you folks seem like a set of interesting people; let’s do this!” Replied Elon.

The rest of the crew stepped out of the van and approached the warehouse with a chizzled little pixie following closely behind. They entered the warehouse and saw nothing threatening. They took a quick look around and saw a pair of legs sticking out from behind a stack of crates.

“oh no” Crash thought to himself.

The gang walked around the crates and saw the bloody body of little Jim.

Aura, Tekra, Crash, Kieva, and Nikkolai all mourned the death of the littlest Jimmy. Elon on the other hand, had absolutely no idea what was going on, but shared some of the sorrow nonetheless.

Aura called the police Chief, Big Jim, to let him know of the incident. He commanded their return to station for a new proposal regarding the gang’s services.

Still in tears, the crew piled back in Aura’s van. Now listening to sad “T Swift” to help them cope. They drove off toward the station to hear what Big Jim had to say.

As they pulled up to the station, they saw the Chief waiting outside. They stepped out of the car, and walked up to him with all their heads down. Big Jim threw a sack of cash toward the group, and said in a firm voice “Aries is up my ass; I have another job your team.”

“ARIES?” Elon replied in a more assured voice “I’m tight with them!”
