Welcome to OCFancy
OCFancy is a community for sharing original characters, artwork, stories, and worlds. Think of it as a home for your characters: a place to keep them, show them off, and watch other people’s grow.
Your first ten minutes
- Finish your profile. Open your profile from the menu, choose Settings, and add a photo, a bio, and an accent colour. You can also pin up to three featured characters.
- Create a character. Go to Characters and choose Create New Character. A name is all you need to start; add art, a reference sheet, and their story whenever you like. You can edit a character at any time.
- Follow a few creators. Browse People or the character directory. Everyone you follow shows up in the Following tab of your feed.
- Say hello. Write your first post on the Activity page. Add a photo, a GIF, or a poll if you want.
How things fit together
- Activity is the live feed. Switch between Everyone and Following, react to posts, leave comments, and repost things you love.
- Characters are profiles for your original characters, with art, a reference sheet, a gallery, and a story. Search and filter the directory by role, species, or whether a character has artwork.
- Worlds are settings your characters live in. Link characters to a world, and invite co-authors to build one together.
- Stories are longer writing. Tag characters and worlds so readers can follow the connections.
- Communities are groups around a shared interest. Join one to post inside it.
- Weekly Prompts give you a new idea every week. Tag your response and it appears in the prompt gallery.
- Search at the top of every page finds characters, worlds, stories, people, communities, and tags.
Privacy and safety
- Every post and character has a visibility setting, so you choose who sees it. Posts can be public, followers only, friends only, or only you. Characters can be public, members only, or private.
- If your artwork or writing is AI-generated, please mark it with the AI-generated option when you post or upload. It keeps the community honest and lets people filter what they see.
- Use Report on any post or comment that breaks the rules, and block anyone you do not want to hear from. Reports go to the moderators.
- Read the privacy policy and the terms to see how your information is handled.
