**Twilight**

**Prologue**

I had never expected Forks to be the place my mom forced me to move to. I’ll be honest, it did look nice. A little green, but nice. The only thing was, the sun barely came out at all. And then there were the rumors of a family being vampires, I didn't believe that though. I got forced to move to Forks at the age of 5. I barely remember it but I remember being so sad that I had to move. I practically grew up in Forks. I was barely outside though, and I was homeschooled. High school was my chance to make new friends! I was finally being put in public schooling. I’d have the prom, dances, it’d be amazing! Best of all, I would actually be able to make friends! That would be amazing…


**Chapter 1
Good Times**

I lay in the back of Edward’s car. Bella was in the front passenger seat, Edward was driving. Somehow, Bella convinced Edward to go the speed limit, which meant it would take ages to get back to Forks. I was taking this time to sleep, or, at least try to. I had been having more and more trouble sleeping around then. But, I finally fell asleep in the back of the car. Granted, I only slept for like, 20 minutes, but I still got sleep. When I woke up, I just lay there, keeping my eyes closed, trying to act like I was asleep. I listened in on Bella and Edward’s conversation, making sure they weren’t talking about me.
“Edward, stop speeding up.” I heard Bella say, I had to cover my mouth to stop myself from laughing.
“I’m going 40mph! It’s boring!” Edward replied, speeding up more. I slowly sat up, trying to be as silent as possible so Edward and Bella wouldn’t notice. I fully sat up and then leaned against the window, closing my eyes again and pretended to be sleeping again. I listened as Bella and Edward argued a little more about the speed before Bella said something that made me open my eyes.
“Is it just me or has Lilith been acting a little weird lately?” She said, looking back at me as I quickly closed my eyes. I could Edward audibly sigh.
“Just you, Bella. I think she’s acting normal.” I reopened my eyes right as Bella turned back to face Edward.
“She never sleeps in the car. Heck, I don’t think she really sleeps at all!” Bella said. I audibly sighed and glared at Bella.
“What makes you think that, Bella?” I asked, tilting my head. Bella turned around to look at me.
“Just look at yourself! You look sleep-deprived, you sound sleep-deprived, you even ACT sleep-deprived!” She explained, glaring at me.
“Maybe I am sleep-deprived.” I shook my head, rolled my eyes, and turned to look out the window.
“Why would you be sleep-deprived?” Edward asked, looking back at me.
“I’ve just been having trouble sleeping, it’s nothing.” I replied, waving my hand dismissively at him. Edward nodded and kept driving back to Forks. Bella kept glancing back at me as Edward drove back into town at insane speed.
